2004 Conference Update

- U.S. Congresswoman Lynn Woolsey (D-CA) will address our conference on the opening day, June 13, 2004. Rep Woolsey will speak about the "Smart Security Platform (Resolution #392) for the 21st Century" that she has introduced in Congress.

- U.S.�Congressman Sam Farr (D-CA) from Monterey will also be speaking. He and Congresswoman Woolsey both were early sponsors of Dennis Kucinich's Department of Peace Bill.

- Tom Hayden has confirmed his participation in the conference!

- Danny Sheehan - A graduate of Harvard Law School and Harvard
Divinity School. Danny Sheehan was an attorney on the Pentagon Papers case, the
Watergate McCord case, was lead council on the Karen Silkwood case and the
3-mile island litigation. He was founder and president of the Christic Institute
in Wash. DC.

- Carrie Olson (of MoveOn.org) will be spending the entire week with us at
Asilomar. She replaces Eli Pariser who will be unable to attend.

Peter Camejo, Green Party candidate for governor of California in 2003. Peter is also chair and co-founder of Progressive Asset Management, Inc, which promotes socially responsible investments. www.votecamejo.org

Carrie Olson is Chief Operating Officer of Moveon.org. She played an integral part in the formation of MoveOn.org in the fall of 1998 and she remains one fo the core team today. Prior to work with MoveOn, Carrie was director of Internal Operations for Berkeley Systems, a successful internet and software development company. Larry Robinson, City Council member and former mayor of Sebastopol, CA, poet, and ecopsychologist. Larry has also been a teacher and is on the board of Praxis Peace Institute.
